Upstairs Sunday School class:

Perspectives on Christianity

How do Christians understand the Bible, the sacraments, the meaning of life, and our work in the world?

In this class, we discuss essays, fiction, poetry, autobiograhy, and other writings from such people as those listed below. (We're still adding to the list.)

Theologians/Philosophers Writers Scientists / Social Scientists

Marcus Borg

John Shelby Spong

George Ricker

Dietrich Boenhoffer

Soren Kierkegaard

Ken Wilbur

Madeleine L'Engle

Dorothy Sayers

C. S. Lewis

Chuck Meyer

Carl Jung

We're adding to this list. If you join us, you can add to the list with us. For each of those we include, we prepare some information about their works to indicate why we think they would be interesting to discuss. Then the class decides which we want to discuss. We spend from one to three weeks on each one we choose. Obviously we could spend much longer on any one author, but, at this point in our time together we are more interested in seeing an overview of many perspectives than in focusing on one.

We welcome one-time visitors, multi-time visitors, or new members to our class. We meet at 9:30 am on Sundays in the large room at the top of the stairs.
