Greeting from Sarah
Portrait of Sarah Currie

Hello, Friends!

Welcome to our website! We hope you'll explore all the connections here to points of information about our congregation. Throughout her history, St. Luke United Methodist Church has continued to evolve in creativity and commitment to love God and neighbor in the essential arenas
of community life:

In worship, we celebrate God's boundless energy as Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer, through services that combine a respect for traditional forms with an openness to innovative expressions of faith in word, movement, and song.

In study, we engage God's ever-deepening wisdom in groups that reflect together about the implications of our faith teachings for conscious, compassionate living.

In service, we connect to God's self-giving love through programs of reaching out with our time, talents, and material resources to neighbors in our immediate community and around the world.

As our mission statement makes clear, St. Luke has at the core a belief in the belovedness of all God's people, and therefore we believe that all of us, regardless of our history or life circumstance, are welcome to share in all our expressions of shared life in the Spirit.

In very human and heartfelt ways, we do our best to follow the Lighted Way of the Living Christ, in all its radical inclusiveness, challenging honesty, and redemptive compassion.

So enjoy the view here, and if you haven't already, join us on the journey. Feel free to call me for conversation; I look forward to journeying with you.

Shalom,

Sarah
