All Saints Sunday-is November 6

This year we’re celebrating a bit differently.  Instead of naming individuals aloud, we’ll have several categories of remembrance for those who have made significant faithful contributions in different areas of life—teaching, medicine, church work, etc.  There will be a time of silent tribute for remembrance in each area, followed by the tolling of bells and the lighting of a candle.

Representatives from each family are invited to bring a favorite candle and candleholder to add to the illumination of the sanctuary, in remembrance of loved ones who have died.

As always, we’ll share Holy Communion as the sacramental sign of our communion with all the saints and with the living Christ.

Our prayer is that through worship our hearts will be newly illuminated and inspired for loving service, through grateful remembrance.
