CLASSES

We have Sunday morning classes for children and adults.

SUNDAY CLASSES FOR ADULTS:

Upstairs Class - (9:30 - 10:30 a.m.) Meets in the large room at the top of the stairs. See more details.

Short-term classes - (time varies) Usually these classes meet on Sunday mornings for four to six weeks and explore some specific topic. Check the Events page for current and upcoming classes.

SUNDAY CLASSES FOR CHILDREN:
Children are welcome at church activities!

Infants and Toddlers - A nursery is provided for children up to age 3 between 9:30 and noon each Sunday. The nursery is also available during various other church events. Call the office if you have questions about whether the nursery will be available for a specific event. Click on the picture for more pictures of the nursery.

Older Children (ages 3-8) - Children's Sunday School classes meet between 9:30 and 10:30. Classes combine reading and discussion of the lessons with crafts and other projects. Children are welcome to attend worship service from 10:50 to noon, which includes a special "children's time" in the first 10 minutes or so. After that, children may remain in the worship service, or they may go to child care.

Youth - Our youth Sunday school class meets between 9:30 and 10:30. See our web page.
In the late fall of 2009, we prepared and distributed our Advent calendar, entitled "We're Grateful for ...". In the summer and early fall of 2009, we read and discussed the stories of the New Testament. In the spring of 2009, we learned how to be acolytes in the church. In the winter and early spring of 2010, we will be studying the Sudan and how United Methodist Church members are helping the people of the Sudan work toward peace and a stable life for their people.

DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY

This group commits to a weekly meeting for most of September - May. In this time they work together to develop a deeper understanding of the Bible and an appreciation of each other's perspectives and insights on the Bible and Christianity.
