Welcome to the website for St Luke here in Austin, Texas. Unlike St Luke Church, this site's pretty new; please feel free to make suggestions you think will improve your browsing experience. When our pastor first visited St Luke, he said "It’s like a Retro-Church.” We're housed in a vintage 1957 A-frame sanctuary; the congregation is small and friendly ( everyone does know your name); and it sticks to the basics: understanding and doing love.
But the central action that communicates love is worship. St Luke offers one worship service on Sunday mornings at 10:50, combining informality and tradition, humor and gravity, classic and contemporary song. On the first Sunday of each month, everyone shares in the Sacrament of Holy Communion, which reenacts for us and the world God’s defining act of love in Jesus.
